Privacy policy

ttmm (“we”) helps you keep track of shared expenses. This policy explains what we collect and why. We don’t sell your data and we don’t show you ads based on it.

What we store

• Account: your email address, name, and optionally your mobile number and UPI ID (so roomies can find and pay you).
• Your groups and expenses: groups, members, expenses, payments, comments, chores, receipt photos you attach, and the history of changes. These are visible to the members of that group.
• Group chat: messages, Meows and stickers you send in a group, visible only to that group’s members. Photos you turn into stickers are stored so others in the group can see them.
• Device push token, so we can send the notifications you enabled.

Contacts

If you allow contacts access, ttmm reads the phone numbers and emails on your device to show which of your contacts are already on ttmm. They are hashed (SHA-256) on your phone before being checked, and are not stored on our servers. Contacts you add as roomies are saved only as the name and number you chose to add.

Camera and photos

Used only when you attach a receipt. Photos are stored with the expense and visible to the group.

Payments

ttmm never handles money. UPI payments happen in your own UPI app; ttmm only records the amount you mark as paid.

Service providers

Data is stored with Supabase (database, auth, storage). Push notifications are delivered through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. The free Android app shows ads from Google AdMob, which may use device identifiers as described in Google’s policies. ttmm Pro payments are handled by Google Play (Android) and Razorpay (web); we receive the status of your subscription, never your card or UPI details.

Advertising and cookies

The ttmm website and web app show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or visit aboutads.info. Ads never see your expenses, groups or balances. ttmm Pro has no ads.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, turn off notifications per type, export statements, and delete your account at any time.
