About

Hi, we’re SplitCat. We make ttmm.

ttmm (short for “tu tera, main mera”: you pay yours, I pay mine) is a bill-splitting app made in India, for the way Indians actually share money.

Why we built it

We’ve shared flats, PGs and hostel rooms for years, and every one of them had the same problems: a WhatsApp group full of “bhai paise?”, a spreadsheet nobody updated after the first month, and a flatmate who swore they had already paid the WiFi. Splitwise helped, but it was built for another country. It didn’t open UPI, it didn’t know about water cans, maids or PG mess fees, and its free version kept shrinking.

So we built ttmm: a splitting app that settles on UPI in one tap, understands rent by room size and electricity with one AC, keeps chores on a wheel, and has a cat called Meow who makes asking for money a little less awkward.

What we believe

How we make money

ttmm is free with a daily limit on entries and a few ads. ttmm Pro removes the limit and the ads and adds unlimited bills, chores and exports. That’s it: we don’t sell data and we don’t take a cut of your payments.

What’s on this website

Besides the app, we write practical guides on splitting money in shared homes and trips (rent by room size, electricity with AC, deposits, maids, groceries) and build free calculators you can use without signing up. Our guides are written from real flat experiences and checked with worked examples. If you spot a mistake, tell us and we’ll fix it.
